La palabra Epicure, se refiere a una persona con gustos sensibles y exigentes, especialmente en temas de la comida y el vino. Este es el nombre de un restaurante en La Antigua Guatemala, y no podría estar más acertado.

• Menú: Ensaladas, sandwiches, pastas, carnes y postres.

• Servicio al Cliente: Excelente.

El restaurante cuenta con un hermoso jardín trasero, el cual es perfecto para sentarte a tener una comida deliciosa en una tarde calurosa.

Los sandwiches sonaban deliciosos así que con mi amiga Brenda pedimos uno diferente cada una y compartimos la mitad. La primera opción fue un sándwich Monte Cristo y el otro el de salchicha italiana, ambos los pedimos con una ensalada de verdes.

Para empezar nos llevaron un gazpacho de tomate, que estaba delicioso, perfecto para el calor y traía un chip, que era tortilla negra tostada.

Cuando llegaron nuestros sandwiches, no podíamos aguantar las ganas de probarlos, por que se veían y olían riquísimos. La ensalada era abundante, una cosa muy particular por que en la mayoría de lugares a penas y ponen ensalada. Como aderezo traía aceite de oliva y vinagre balsámico y honestamente no era necesario más.

El sándwich de salchicha italiana, cobro tanto sentido que no tuviera un nombre ingenioso, por que todo el protagonismo era de la salchicha. La salchicha estaba super jugosa y con un sabor agridulce increíble. El pan baguette también era una excelente elección para poder contender todos los ingredientes.

Cuando probe el Monte Cristo, me pareció que estaba rico. El jamón era de buena calidad y con mucho sabor, sin embargo la salchicha italiana se llevo todo el protagonismo, por lo que les aconsejaría que si sólo tienen una oportunidad de ir, el sándwich que deben pedir es el de salchicha italiana.

Los sándwiches eran enormes, así que no tuvimos espacio para el postre, sin embargo cuando llego la cuenta, nos llevaban dos trufas de chocolate de cortesía, que fue el final perfecto para esta comida.

The word Epicure, refers a person who takes particular pleasure in fine things especially in food and wine.  This is the name of a Restaurant in Antigua Guatemala, and it's totally accurate.

The restaurant had a beautiful back garden, which is perfect to have a delicious meal on a sunny afternoon. 

The sandwiches sounds delicious, so my friend Brenda and I, ordered differents to split half of each one. The first option was a Monte Cristo sandwich and the other one The Italian sausage. Both came with a salad.  

For appetizer they brought us a tomato gazpacho, that was delicious and perfect for the hot day, it came with a chip made of black tortilla. 

When the sandwiches arrived, I couldn't resist myself to try each one, because it looked so good and smelled delicious. The salad was abundant, that's a good thing, because in most of the restaurant they always serve a small salad. The dressing was olive oil and vinegar balsamic, and honestly you didn't need more.

The Italian sausage sandwich, made so much sense to be named like that, and not after a ingenious name, because the protagonist was the sausage. This was super juicy with an incredible bitter sweet taste.  The baguette was an excellent choice for this sandwich because it holds perfectly all the ingredients of the sandwich. 

When I tried the Monte Cristo, I thought that it was ok. The ham was of good quality and with a lot of flavor, however the other sandwich took the leadership, that's why if you only have one chance to visit this place, go for the Italian sausage sandwich. 

The sandwiches were huge, so we didn't have space for dessert, but when the check arrived they gave us two truffles that were really good and this was the perfect ending for the meal.
