Sin pensarlo dos veces, iría a donde fuera necesario para estar cerca de mi familia. Esta es la razón por la que año tras año, hago lo que puedo por subirme a un avión para encontrarme con ellos.

Y así como yo los extraño ellos me extrañan a mi, por que una de las frases que se me quedo grabada en la mente y en el corazón, fue cuando estaba recostaba en el hombro de mi papá y me susurro al oido, no te vayas.

Este viaje tuvo un regalo especial, mi mejor amiga llego durante mi viaje, y más que mi mejor amiga, ella es mi hermana, así que la familia se sentía completa.

Como Irene no conocía Oregon, decidimos hacer las paradas oficiales, y dentro de las cosas que hicimos fue visitar Hood River.

A pesar que había ido en otras ocasiones, nunca había caminando por el water front. Así que en esta ocasión lo hicimos y aprovechamos para tomar un par de fotos, por que el día y la luz estaba perfectos.

Teníamos diferentes opciones para probar, pero nos gusto bastante como se veía PFriem. Este lugar es una destileria, que abrió sus puertas en el 2012, y desde el inicio sus tres socios han tenido el objetivo de desarrollar la mejor cerveza artesanal.

Ambiente: Relajado y acogedor.
Parqueo: Te puedes parquear frente al water front.
Menú: Tienen ensaladas, sandwiches, y confort food como papas fritas y mac and cheese, en pocas palabras comida de bar.
Servicio al Cliente: Excelente.
Precio: $$$

Cuando revise el menú, nuevamente me enfrente con el reto de que cerveza pedir entre todas las opciones que habían y para hacernos la vida un poco más fácil le pedimos una recomendación a la mesara, quién muy gustosamente se ofreció a ayudar y nos recomendó la Mango Pale Ale. Esta cerveza tiene una disponibilidad limitada, así que si los visitan pídanle a Dios encontrar.

Sus notas de sabor son a mango por supuesto y frutas tropicales. Su bouquet es a mango, piña, vino blanco, pera, melocotón y fresas.

Cuando la olí definitivamente podía sentir la presencia del mango y de las frutas tropicales, y al dar mi primer sorbo quede encantada con su sabor tan definido.

Para comer, como no tenía tanta hambre, decidimos compartir con Irene, y la opción que más nos llamo la atención fue la hamburguesa vegetariana, que traía una tortita de hongos y lentejas, arugula, cebolla morada encurtida y un aioli de ajos asados. Este plato venía acompañado con papas fritas.

Desde hace tiempo he creído que una hamburguesa vegetariana puede funcionar a la perfección, si se sabe condimentar los ingredientes. Y en este caso volví a poner a prueba la teoría. La verdad estaba delicioso, no me hizo falta la carne, por que el sabor estaba increíble.

No pierdan más el tiempo y si andan por Hood River por favor pasen a comer a PFriem y de paso compren un par de cervezas para su casa.

This trip had a special gift, my best friend arrived during my trip, and she is more than a friend she is my sister, so the family felt complete.

Irene didn't know Oregon, so we decided to make a official visit, among the places we went was Hood River.

I had been there in the past, but I had never walked in the water front, so we did it and we took some pictures because the day and the light was perfect to make some portraits.

We had many options to eat, but we liked how PFriem looked. This place is a distillery and opened in 2012 and from the beginning the 3 partners had one vision, that was develop the best crafted beer.

When I checked the menu, again I had a big challenge, trying to decide what beer to order among all the options, so to make it easy we asked the waitress if she could help us giving us a recommendation, she was willing to help and she recommended us the Mango Pale Ale. This beer has limited availability, so if you visit the place, pray that they have it.

The tasting notes are mango of course, tropical fruits and the bouquet has mango, pineapple, white wine, pear, peaches and strawberry.

When I felt the aroma I definitely could feel the mango and tropical fruits, and on my first sip I loved the strong mango flavor.

To eat I wasn’t that hungry, so we decided to share a plate with Irene, and the option that we choose was the veggie burger, that had a patty of mushrooms an lentil, arugula, pickled red onion and roasted garlic aioli. The burger came with french fries.

For I long time I have believed that a veggie burger can work perfectly if the ingredients are well seasoned. And on this occasion I proved my theory again. The truth it's that it was delicios and I didn't missed the meat patty, because the flavor was incredible.

Don't hesitate and go for a beer to PFriem and buy some beers for home.
