When in Puerto Madero

Puerto Madero it's an area of Buenos Aires, very distinguish and modern, in here you can find exclusive stores and restaurants. You can have a great walk and see the Puente de la mujer of Calatrava.

We went to a restaurant and coffee shop called, Corletto, I order ravioli stuffed with cottage and spinach, the flavor was really good, my friends order a margarita pizza, it was also delicious, the only thing about this place, was the service, the waiter wasn't kind at all, and at first made us feel uncomfortable with his attitude, but later we found out that is is a cultural thing in Argentina therefore is very common.

Puerto Madero es un barrio de Buenos Aires, bastante distintivo y moderno, aquí se pueden encontrar tiendas y restaurantes exclusivos. Además puedes disfrutar de una caminata para ver el Puente de la Mujer una obra maestra de Calatrava.

Fuimos a un restaurante llamado Corletto, yo pedí ravioles rellenos de queso cottage y espinaca, el sabor era bastante bueno, mis amigos ordenaron una pizza margarita, que también estaba deliciosa, la única cosa de este lugar es el servicio, los meseros no son amables, y al principio nos hicieron sentir un poco incomodos con su actitud, pero más tarde, comprendimos que es más una cuestión cultural.

Argentina, has a lot of italian influence. You will see a lot of pasta and pizza places, but with their own little twists.

This pizzeria is called Zappi, it´s a great place to eat, the pizza it´s delicious, it´s cheap and the service is good. We ordered a pizza with red peppers, green olives, mushrooms, and the secret ingredient garlic!! The result was great, We were 4 people and we were able to eat with a large pizza, so it´s great for the price and the taste of the pizza. One thing to keep in mind, when you order a beer is that they’ll sell you a litter, so keep this in mind when you visit.

Argentina tiene mucha influencia italiana. Vas a poder observar muchos lugares de pasta y pizza, con su propio twist.

Esta pizzeria se llama Zappi, es un lugar genial para comer, la pizza es deliciosa y barata, además el servicio es bastante bueno.  Nosotros ordenamos una pizza de chiles pimientos, aceitunas verdes, champiñones y el ingrediente secreto AJO!. El resultado INCREIBLE, éramos 4 personas, y nos comimos una pizza grande, así que el sabor y el precio son geniales. Otra cosa que debes considerar es que cuando pides una cerveza, lo que realmente te traen es un litro, así que hay que tomarlo en cuenta para cuando ordenes.

Sharing is the best way

One of my friends had told me, that if I was going to Argentina and order a Milanese, I should consider share the plate with someone else, because the portion was huge. So the moment arrived but I totally forgot the advice, so I ordered a Milanese just for myself, BIG MISTAKE, the plate was ENORMOUS, I couldn't finish my meal.

But I have to say, the place it's a must! if you visit Argentina, go to Cafe de los Angelitos, the place serves  really good food, and the place is historical, the only not so good thing is the customer service, the waiters can be a little rude, but in general argentines, are not the more lovely persons in the world, so you have to get used to it.

My milanesa was good, it was a veal milanesa, the side dish french fries and the final touch lime for the meat.

Una de mis amigas me dijo, si vas a Argentina, y pides una milanesa, deberías considerar compartirla con alguien más, por que la porción es enorme. Así que llego el momento pero olvide por completo el consejo, así que ordene una milanesa solo para mi, y fue un GRAN ERROR, el plato era enorme, y no me la pude terminar.

Pero debo decir que este lugar es una parada obligatoria en Argentina, Café de los Angelitos, sirven comida realmente buena, y el lugar es un punto histórico, la única cosa que no es muy buena es el servicio al cliente, los meseros pueden ser un poco rudos, pero general los argentinos no se caracterizan por ser las personas más cariñosas de este mundo, así que te tienes que ir acostumbrando.

Mi milanesa estuvo buenísima, era de ternera, y para acompañarla papas fritas.

A sandwich never disappoints

In Buenos Aires, there is a place called Cafe Martinez, they have many locations. The first impression it gives you is that it´s got to be good.

I order a Club Sandwich and a Mango Juice, the flavor was good, the portion, abundant, the only thing about this place was the service, the restaurant was full, and they only had 1 waitress, so we had to wait like 20 minutes just to order, and other 20 minutes to have our food, for me this is too much considering, that all I want to eat was a sandwich.

The Sandwich how ever was good for the price you we pay. I will tell you, go to Cafe Martinez just to have a coffee not to lunch.

En Buenos Aires esta, este lugar llamado Café Martinez, ellos tienen diferentes puntos. Mi primera impresión es que debe ser bueno.

Cuando fuimos yo pedí un Club Sandwich y un jugo de mango, el sabor estaba bastante bueno, y la porción abundante, el único inconveniente con este lugar, es el servicio. El restaurante estaba lleno, y solo tenían una mesera, así que tuvimos que esperar 20 minutos solo para ordenar, y otros 20 minutos para que nos llevaran la comida, para mi es demasiado tiempo, considerando que todo lo que ordene era un sandwich.

El Club Sandwich estaba bastante rico y a un buen precio, te diría pasa a Café Martinez sólo por un café y no para almorzar.

Late night coffee

One thing you need to know about Buenos Aires, is that there's always an open place to have a cup of coffee so this night was like 11pm and we decided that we need a little dessert to finish the night.

So we stopped by a place called Cabildo, if you go to Argentina, you may be impressed by the amount of pastries, that you can find, we asked for 3 different kind of pastries, the one that I absolutely love, was the one that has Dulce de Leche, argentina is know by this sweet for a really good reason, so whatever you gonna order, make sure that has dulce de leche. The waiter was very kind because we were a big group, he gave us extra pastries to try it out as a courtesy.

Una cosa que debes saber sobre Buenos Aires es que, siempre hay algún lugar abierto para tomar una taza de café, así que esta noche eran como  las 11pm, y decidimos que necesitábamos un postre para terminar la noche.

Así que nos detuvimos en un lugar llamado Cabildo, si estas en Argentina, seguramente te vas a quedar impresionado por la cantidad de pastelitos que puedes encontrar, nosotros ordenamos 3 clases diferentes de pastelitos, el que ame, fue uno que tenia dulce de leche, Argentina es conocida por sus dulces por una buena razón, así que sea lo que sea que ordenes asegurate que tenga dulce de leche. 

El mesero fue muy amable, y como éramos un grupo bastante grande, nos regalaron pastelitos de cortesía para que pudiéramos probar más.
