One thing you need to know about me, is that I love breakfast, I guess one of the main reasons, I like it, it's because How many times do you have the chance to sit down and eat breakfast. If you're a little bit like myself. I will grab an apple and eat it on my way to the gym

So, the first Sunday of the month We gather with my friends and have breakfast, so this moth the place we choose was Skillets, I order and omelette with bacon, peppers, onion and cheese.  But I have to say the taste wasn't fabulous, it was just OK. The name of the omelet was Oh Le!

Positive things of the places; Many locations, parking lot, free coffee refill

Negative: The taste is average, the presentation of the dish can be better, in may case I don´t like the red peppers and onions, to be chopped like a salad, iIf you are ordering an egg, and in this particular omelette it looks like the used the same onion and red peppers of the salad to my egg and I hate it.

So if you go to this place, may be will be a better idea to give it a try to the pancakes.

Una cosa que debes saber sobre mi, es que AMO los desayunos, supongo que es una de las principales razones por las que me gusta es por que por lo general no tengo tiempo de sentarme a desayunar y si te pareces un poco a mi, lo más seguro es que solo agarres una manzana para comerla en el camino al gimnasio.

Así que el primer domingo del mes nos juntamos con mis amigas a desayunar, y este mes el restaurante que escogimos fue Skillets. Yo ordene un omelette con tocino, chiles pimientos, cebolla y queso. Tengo que decir que el sabor no fue espectacular pero estaba bien, el nombre del desayuno es Oh le!.

Las cosas positivas del lugar es que hay muchos establecimientos, tienen parqueo y el café tiene refill.

Las cosas negativas, el sabor es bastante promedio, la presentación de los platos podría mejorar, y en mi caso no me gusta que los chiles pimientos y la cebolla estén cortados como ensalada, por que en este omelette parecía que eran los mismos vegetales que se usan para las ensaladas y eso no me gusto.

Si van a Skillets tal vez sea mejor idea darle una oportunidad a los panqueques o a la avena que es DELICIOSA.

Monday Lunch

Monday´s lunch at my home are  particular, because, on the weekends, no one cooks, so you have to figured out what to have for lunch for to start the week. 

So on this particular Sunday, I stopped by  Anfora to buy bread, but when I entered couldn't, resist to the aroma of baking croissants. I'm a croissant lover!!!. Then I decided to buy croissant for my Monday lunch, my verdict was:  Good enough. If you ask me, I will rather pick cheddar than white cheese, it's like a classic, so why changed it. The chips I bought to go with my croissants of course had to be Luas. I could eat a whole bunch of them by myself. I´m guessing the are addicting.

Los almuerzos de los lunes en mi casa son particulares, por que por lo general el fin de semana no se cocina, así que hay que ver que cosa se puede preparar para empezar la semana.

Así que en este domingo en particular, pase a Anfora para comprar pan, pero cuando entre no me pude resistir al olor de los croissants recién horneados. Debo decir que soy una amante de los croissants. Así que decidí comprar croissant para mi almuerzo de lunes. Mi veredicto: Son bastante buenos, si me preguntaran preferiría que tuvieran queso cheddar en lugar de queso blanco, es un clásico así que para que cambiarlo. Las chips que compre para acompañar mis croissants por supuesto tenían que ser Luas. Me podría comer una cantidad inimaginable de Luas yo sola, supongo que son adictivas.

Little Chat with friends

On a Sunday afternoon, it's always a good idea to catch up with your girlfriends, so we decided to have a coffee and of course something sweet.

The first place to come to our mind was Cafe Saul zona 14, because it's a good place, has parking and the food never disappoints you. 

I ate here last Friday which made the decision of what to get harder, If you know me well, you can guess what I order to drink, of course a cappuccino!!! and my dessert was a Vuitton do Janeiro, it's a pineapple, mascarpone, coconut and orange liqueur crepe, so if you don't like the desserts that are too sweet this is a good choice for you because of the cheese.

En una tarde de domingo, siempre es una buena idea, de ponerte al día con tus amigas, así que decidimos tomar un café y por supuesto acompañarlo de algo dulce.

El primer lugar que vino a nuestra mente fue Café Saul de zona 14, por que es un lindo lugar, tiene parqueo y la comida nunca nos ha decepcionado.

Yo había comido el viernes pasado en Saúl, así que la decisión de que ordenar se me hizo un poco más difícil, si me conoces bien, ya te estas imaginando que ordene de bebida, y por supuesto fue un capuchino y mi postre fue un Vuitton di Janeiro, que es una crepe de piña, queso mascarpone, coco y licor de naranja. Así que si no te gustan los postres muy dulces, esta es una buena opción, sobre todo por el queso ya que nivela lo dulce.

When in Antigua

Antigua, it´s a beautiful place, to chill on the weekend, it's only two hours,  away from the city, and you can visit cultural places, walk and EAT!!

If you visit Antigua, you will be tempted to eat in the same place and ask for the same plate, because regularly it's to good and you don't wanna take chances with something else. But if you are a little adventurous as I am, I recommend you that go outside and pick a new restaurant every time you have the chance.

On my last visit to Antigua I went to this peculiar place, its name is 7A Norte, a little place with and spectacular view, they have their own terrance so thats a plus.

We order a camembert cheese, and it was delicious, combined with pepper, onion and fig jam, and not very enthusiastic about the fig but the combination with the cheese was perfect, I have to say, the onion jam wasn't so good compared with the other two. As a main course we eat a pizza with prosciutto and rucula, the prosciutto was delicious at its point not too salty like in some places the served it.

So next time you visit Antigua give 7A Norte a try, and discover new things.

Antigua es un lugar realmente hermoso para tener un fin de semana relajado. Se encuentra a solo dos horas de la ciudad, y puedes visitar lugares culturales, caminar y sobre todo COMER.

Si visitas Antigua seguramente vas a estar tentado a comer en el mismo lugar de siempre y order lo que ya estas acostumbrado, por que por lo general, va a ser algo bueno y no estas dispuesto a tomar riesgos con algo diferente. Pero si eres un poco aventurero, yo te recomiendo que vayas allá afuera y elige un restaurante nuevo cada vez que tengas la oportunidad.

En mi última visita a Antigua, visite un lugar bastante peculiar, se llama 7A Norte, es una pequeña pizzeria, con una vista espectacular ya que tienen su propia terraza, que eso ya es un plus.

Ordenamos un queso Camembert, que estaba delicioso, combinado con mermelada de  chiles, cebolla e higo. La verdad no soy muy entusiasta con el higo, pero la combinación con el queso era perfecta. Tengo que decir que la mermelada de cebolla no era tan buena comparada con las otras dos. Como plato fuerte pedimos una pizza con prosciutto y arugula, el prosciutto estaba delicioso, no demasiado salado como en algunos lugares. 

Así que la próxima vez que visites Antigua, dale una oportunidad a 7A Norte e intenta descubrir nuevas cosas.
