Running Away

This little trip begun with a simple question: What are your plans for the weekend?

It was Thursday afternoon and my friend Brendita called to ask me this question, the only plan I had was meeting with my friend Irene on Saturday, so she reply with "let´s go to the beach on Saturday the three of us." 

So we planned everything in one day, and I really don't know what was going on in Monterrico during this weekend but everything was full, and the only place where we found a room was in El Paredon Surf Housse on Sipacate. The little detail was that the we had to share the bathroom, and the 3 of us said yes to the adventure.

The place is great, you can find many surfers that likes Sipacate because the beach is not much deep, and they can catch excellent waves.

I enjoy a weekend of relaxing with my friends, and the food was great, I ate a vegetarian panini, that was overloaded with cheese, and the homemade bread was really good, and the best drink was my yogurt smoothie with banana and strawberry.

For dinner they had this really nice experience where you had BBQ with all the guest and share the meal all together.

Este pequeño viaje, empiezo con una pregunta muy simple: ¿Qué planes tenes para el fin de semana?

Era jueves por la tarde y mi amiga Brendita me llamo para preguntarme, mi respuesta fue que me iba a reunir con mi amiga Irene el sábado por la tarde, a lo que ella me sugirió, ¿Porqué no vamos a la playa las 3 el fin de semana?

Así que planeamos todo en un día. No sé que había en Monterrico este fin de semana pero todos los hoteles estaban llenos, y en el único lugar que encontramos espacio fue en El Paredón Surf House, en Sipacate. El pequeño detalle era que debíamos compartir baño, pero las 3 aceptamos la aventura.

El lugar es genial, te encuentras a muchos surfers que llegan por que la playa no es tan profunda y puedes tener muy buenas olas.

Disfrute el fin de semana con mis amigas y la comida estaba deliciosa. Yo pedí un panini vegetariano que desbordaba queso y de bebida un smoothie de yogurt con fresas y banano que también estaba delicioso. 

Para la cena ellos tienen esta dinámica en donde hacen una BBQ y todos los huéspedes cenan juntos para compartir.

When there are little options

I was on the beach in Monterrico and honestly there are not so many places where to eat. So I read about Pelicanos and decided that we needed to go.

The place es a little restaurant with many italian options to eat. I decided to order a spaghetti alla carbonara. And my major surprise was the cheese, you couldn't imagine that practically in the middle of nowhere you will be served actually real parmesan, it was PERFECT.

The pasta was delicious and the plate enormous, I order half the plate and still I was so full that I couldn't order dessert.

Try Pelicanos next time you are in Monterrico.

Estaba en la playa en Monterrico y honestamente, no hay muchos lugares para comer en este lugar. Así que leí sobre este lugar Pelicanos y decidí que debíamos ir.

El lugar es un pequeño restaurante que sirve muchos platos italianos. Yo decidí ordenar un spaghetti al carbonara, y mi mayor sorpresa fue que me sirvieran queso Parmesano de verdad, no te puedes imaginar que en un lugar prácticamente en medio de la nada te sirvan queso parmesano real, fue perfecto.

La pasta estaba deliciosa y el plato enorme a pesar que solo ordene la mitad, aún así me llene tanto que fui incapaz de ordenar postre.

La próxima vez que vayas a Monterrico prueba Pelicanos.
