Llegó mi cumpleaños número 30 y la verdad, no pude haberlo disfrutado mejor. Empecé con una fiesta de cumpleaños que mi amiga, Irene, organizó con las personas más cercanas a mí. Todo quedó perfecto, ella se encargó de cada detalle y yo solo tuve disfrutar de la compañía de cada uno.
Pero como soy tan afortunada, mi última celebración de cumpleaños fue una semana después. Mi amigo Luis quería celebrar conmigo, así que nos juntamos a cenar.
Él estaba muy entusiasmado, con que probara unos tacos de lomito y puyaso con salsa de chiltepe que él había comido unas semanas atrás en su celebración familiar de cumpleaños en Don Emiliano.
Don Emiliano es un restaurante principalmente de asados que tiene 2/3 de sus restaurantes ubicados en centros comerciales, lo cuál lo hace muy conveniente.
En su menú se puede encontrar, ensaladas, carpaccio (nos dieron un platito de cortesía mientras esperábamos nuestra comida y estaba delicioso), diferentes cortes de carne, hamburguesas y sándwiches.
Algunos facts del lugar:
- Parqueo: El del centro comercial, en nuestro caso visitamos el que está ubicado en el RoofTop de Oakland Mall
- Servicio: El staff se mostró muy atento, sin embargo yo soy una clienta particular, y ya estaban nerviosos por el hecho que estaba tomando fotos del restaurante.
- Rango de precios: $$$
Como teníamos un objetivo claro, ordenamos los tacos de puyaso y lomito. Venían con tortillas hechas en casa. El termino de la carne era 3/4 pero estaba muy jugosa, lo cual se puede ver en la foto del plato. Además, el aguacate ayudaba a fusionar todos los sabores.
Que les puedo decir, la salsa de chiltepe fue una buena recomendación, tenia un picante exquisito y las cebollitas asadas le daban un toque dulce.
Cada mordida de estos tacos se siente como una fiesta en tu boca, activando las zonas, dulces, saladas y ácidas de tu paladar.
El otro plato que compartimos fue un pan con chorizo, que estaba muy bueno, el chorizo estaba jugoso, y la mozzarella se derritió con el pan tostado; y para combinarlo todo con un delicioso aioli.
Fue una celebración perfecta, desde la compañía, la comida y la plática. Creo que una de las lecciones más importantes de este cumpleaños fue que cuando compartes con las personas que más quieres, la comida pasa a segundo plano.
Como no podíamos terminar la celebración sin el postre, fuimos a comer un gelato a Gelatiamo. Yo pedí uno de churro, que está buenísimo y es sabor de temporada entonces no dejen pasar tanto tiempo y Luis comió uno de galleta Chiky; pero el verdadero Hit fue el cono cubierto de chocolate y maní.
My 30th birthday arrived and, honestly, I could not have enjoyed it better. My birthday celebrations started with a birthday party, that my friend, Irene, arranged with the people closest to me. Everything was perfect, she took care o every detail and I simply had to enjoy the company of each one.
But since I´m so lucky, my last birthday celebration was a week later. My friend Luis wanted to celebrated with me, so we got together for dinner.
He was really excited to try some tenderloin and sirloin tacos with chiltepe sauce, which he had eaten a few weeks ago because of his family birthday party at Don Emiliano.
Don Emiliano is mainly a steak restaurant that has 2/3 of its restaurants are located in shopping malls which makes it so convenient.
On the menu you can find salads, carpaccio, different cuts of meat, burgers and sandwiches. We were given a complimentary carpaccio while we waited for our food, and it was delicious.
Some facts for the place:
- Parking: At the mall, in our case we visit the one located on the RoofTop of Oakland Mall
- Service: The staff was very attentive; however, I am a peculiar customer that draws a lot of attention by taking pictures of the restaurant and food, that made them a little bit nervous.
- Price range: $$$
As we had a clear objetive, we ordered the tenderloin and sirloin tacos. They arrived with delicious homemade tortillas. The meat term was medium well, but still very juicy, which can be seen in the photo of the dish. Also, the avocado helped to fuse all the flavors.
I can tell the chiltepe sauce was a good recommendation, it had an exquisite spiciness, and the roasted onions gave it a sweet touch.
Each bite of this tacos feels like a party in your mouth, activation the complete range of sweet, salty and acid taste of your palate.
The other dish we shared was a bread with sausage, which was very good, the sausage was juicy and the mozzarella melted with the toasted bread; it was all combine with a delicious aioli.
It was a perfect celebration, from the company, the food and the conversation. I think one of the most important lessons of this birthday was that when you share with people you love the most, food goes to the background.
As we could not finish the celebration without the dessert, we went to eat a gelato to Gelatiamo. I ordered a churro, which was great and, since it is the season flavor, make sure to give it a try soon. Luis ate one of the Chicky biscuits; but the real thing, were the chocolate covered cone with peanuts.
